The SASSI Institute recommends that all computer users replace their existing software with Release 4.0, which requires a new and separate installation. Given that the Adult SASSI-3 instrument and scoring system has not changed, current users who are not interested in the new software features and support materials may continue to activate Adult SASSI-3 tests on their existing software. However, unused administrations of the Adult SASSI-3 and original Adolescent SASSI from existing software cannot be transferred to Release 4.0. Therefore, please purchase only the number of administrations you will need prior to obtaining Release 4.0 (Discounts apply; see below).

Features of SASSI Software Release 4.0:

• Operating Systems - Windows 95, 98, NT 4.0, 2000, and Millennium Edition (Me)
• Mobility - Release 4.0 can be installed and operated on multiple workstations, thus allowing you to use the administrations you purchase on more than one computer, including laptops.
• Improved print quality - Increased printer font compatibility eliminates the need to adjust settings on most printers.
• Distribution Media - Release 4.0 will be distributed on a CD-ROM disk. This CD will contain not only the SASSI software and any test administrations purchased but will also include:
  • New SASSI Computer User's Guide
  • Acrobat Reader to allow the user to view, save, and/or print the Computer User's Guide
  • Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) regarding software installation and operation

Customers who do not have a CD-ROM drive on their computers may purchase the SASSI Release 4.0 on standard disks. The new SASSI Computer User's Guide and Frequently Asked Questions can then be downloaded from the SASSI web site (www.sassi.com) for viewing or printing.

• To assist you in the transition to Release 4.0, the unit price for 25, 50, and 75 computer administrations of the adult and adolescent SASSIs will be discounted to be the same as the unit price for 100 administrations -- $6.60 per test effective now through July 31, 2001.
