We recommend that you review the Adolescent SASSI-A2 tests that your clients have completed thus far to determine if there is a possibility that there is an error in the report that was generated by the SASSI Software Release 4.01. The review process is brief and easy:
If the client performed a full test administration (all responses were entered directly into the computer by the client), the 4.02 software will automatically re-score the responses and produce correct results when you locate the client's record in the SASSI software using the "Review Results" feature on the SASSI main menu. When the client's record is showing, choose the "Report" feature to generate a revised report for that client.
If the client's responses to 69 and 70 are the same (i.e., both true or both false) there is no error on the computer report. If the client's answers to items 69 and 70 are different (i.e., 69 is true and 70 is false or vice versa) there may be a one-point error on the ATT, DEF, SCS, and COR scales.
After having identified those SASSI-A2 questionnaires on which the client's responses differed on items 69 and 70, re-score the ATT, DEF, COR, and SCS scales using the new scoring key that was mailed to you. Then locate the client's record in the SASSI software using the "Review Results" feature on the SASSI main menu. (See the SASSI Computer User's Guide for details on using Review Results). When the client's record is showing, choose the "Raw Data" option. If the scale scores were entered under version 4.01 of the software, you will be given to opportunity to modify the ATT, DEF, COR, and/or SCS scale scores as deemed necessary by re-scoring with the new key. Once you modify the scores and choose the "Save" option, you will not be able to modify that client's scores again. Choosing the "Report" option will then produce a correct report for that client.
